LFW takes a look ahead to this weekends action in the Coca Cola Championship.

Welcome back to LFW look ahead at the weekends action in the Coca Cola Championship in what is a reverse of the opening day fixtures. The games start tomorrow night(Friday) as one of the form teams of the division, Doncaster, take on Nigel Clough's Derby at the Keepmoat. With just one defeat in 8 games, Rovers have risen from the bottom to a craditable 16th in the table with 40 points and are now 7 points clear of the drop zone. In fact, if they were to win, they would go above Derby who sit just above them in 15th and are having quite a decent little run of their own.

Moving onto Saturday and the form team of the Championship are Bristol City, who have climbed, almost unnoticed into the play off positions and are currently in 5th place. The Robins this week, have a home game with Blackpool, who are without a win in 4 games. Another form side, Swansea, will be looking to put their narrow midweek cup defeat behind them, with a home game against bottom club, Charlton at the Liberty Stadium. Preston v Ispwich looks a decent encounter, as does Reading v Forest. Leaders Wolves have a great chance to put their recent wobbles behind them as they take on struggling Plymouth at Molinuex.

At the wrong end of the table, it gets no easier for Southampton as they welcome the very much in-form, Cardiff to St Marys. Third from bottom, Norwich have a tough looking home game with Coventry, who are fresh from knocking Premier League Blackburn out of the FA Cup midweek. The local derby, of sorts, of the weekend, comes from Vicarage Road as Watford take on Crystal Palace.

The weekend's Sky game, comes on Sunday from Bramall Lane as 2nd place Birmingham travel to Sheffield United, who are without a win in 3 games and have now slipped out of the play off places, into 7th. You would fancy the home side in this one though, as the Blues seem to save their best form for their home supporters.
