The problem is that if he was 18 or 19 and scoring regularly like that then Championship and even Premier League clubs would be fighting for him as well. I reckon he could play at a higher level but the question is how high... |

Kane Gilbert is leaving Halstead Town and scored 37 goals last season so could be a good player if we decide to sign him. He is only 23 so definitely scope for improvement IF he can make the jump from Essex Senior League to L2 which could be a gamble - though Joe Taylor jumped from Non league to the EFL and scored for fun. 6' 7'' according to Wikipedia. Could be a good signing as he has played in the SPL & League One. A tall commanding keeper is definitely what we need. |

I hope the Cowleys have got some decent targets in mind with Mingi gone and Fevrier and possibly even Chilvers likely to be moving on as well - hopefully we'll get decent fees if thate the case. |

Keeping quiet about signings is usually RC's way but 2 Keepers we could aim for are Paul Farman & Jack Sims. Farman has a solid track record and Sims could potentially make the step up to EFL. |

I think Kemp would be an excellent player for us if he joins. I reckon he would have led the line well at MK Dons next season but obviously they are looking for something else. Don't forget DC said that we would be aggressive when trying to sign players. |

Both would be very good additions I imagine. I don't know if AFCW would have first refusal on Bass though. Harris seems a very capable striker but would he come down to L2 level or would he still want to try L1? Saying that, if we show ambition then who knows? |

So far Crawley are 1-0 up, can't see MK doing a Liverpool type turnaround tbh... |

Contracted players could potentially be loaned out or sold on, though for the most part probably not for massive fees in the latter scenario. It depends on how much DC values them and their ability. |

Not surprised to see Hornby, Akinde and Dallison leave. Hornby isn't quite good enough for us & L2. Akinde has played well for us but his age was against him & hasn't been the consistent goalscorer we need. Dallison hasn't been consistent enough and his season has been a little stop-start (though tbf to him a lot of it was injury related). I wonder who our management team are lining up? |

So S****end will have their local derby next season - just not against us. |

I think theyll either be sold on or loaned out. I can't see any contracts be paid up or terminated early tbh. [Post edited 4 May 12:13]

Out of those Noah is the only one who's contract is up for renewal though I hope McGeehan also stays. I wonder if DC will aim for some of his old players like Sean Spraggett? |

I absolutely agree with that, it is such a shame that big John isn't more of a consistent goalscorer as his all round play is very good. Hopper is very similar and is another very good player but again not a consistent goal scorer and I think he is contracted for another year (though he could be loaned out) |

I agree with those and as for the contracts expiring I'd like to see: Staying: McGeehan, Chilvers and Cooper - McGeehan definitely, Chilvers is great when he's having a good game but needs more consistency and Cooper has lots of potential, Possibly Dallison as well but perhaps we need someone a little more consistent at the back? I feel the others need to move on - Hornby in favour of a more experienced keeper & Akinde has done well but is it currently in our best interests to keep a 35 year old striker or do we need a consistent goalscorer?
