Refwatch Preview: Notts County (a) Monday, 27th Oct 2008 14:27 We bring you our usual Refwatch Preview, with possibly the worst ever pun based on the name of the official. We get another first year referee on Tuesday when West Midlands official Phil Gibbs is the man in the middle at Meadow Lane.
Mr Gibbs has officiated at eight matches so far this season, seven of them in League Two.
He began with Shrewsbury v Macclesfield on the opening day and also took charge of the humorous game at Aldershot three weeks ago where bury threw away a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3!
In his eight matches Mr Gibbs has shown only 18 yellow cards and, as yet, no red.
Last season in the Conference he was awarded a number of high-profile matches, including Exeter v Torquay on Boxing Day and the promotion clash between Torquay and Aldershot in March.
