Derby County Throw The Toys Out - Makes No Sense Thursday, 10th Jul 2008 20:26 Paul Jewell throws his toys out of the pram over Ferrie Bodde So Paul Jewell has gone public again stating that he will not wait forever on a player that he wants to add to his squad. Mr Jewell talked publically about something he didn't want to get involved in today (?) stating that he had a Plan B should his attempt to land Ferrie - his Plan A - fail. Jewell told the Derby media "“Everybody knows that's what I want. Now I just hope a deal can be done this week. “We first made an offer up to eight weeks ago “It was made between the chairmen of the two clubs and was then made public. It has become a very bitter public row and is something I am keen not to get involved in. “Ferrie has come out and said he wants to come to Derby. I have never spoken to Ferrie or his repesentatives because Swansea have not given us permission. I have seen some of the quotes and what he has allegedly been saying. “He is a player I would like but we can not wait forever. “If it is not going to happen quickly we have got another target that we will have to move swiftly on.” Which of course is fair enough and actually almost some sense being talked finally from the Derby camp. But let's also remember that
Another day and Ferrie remains a Swans player - 52 days and counting to conclude a transfer......
