Leicester Game Postponed Sunday, 28th Oct 2018 22:29 As was expected after the tragedy at the King Power Stadium the League cup tie with Saints will not now go ahead on Tuesday. "Saints have confirmed that the trip to Leicester City on Tuesday evening is now cancelled. Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup game between Leicester City and Southampton has been postponed. Both clubs, in conjunction with the relevant authorities, took the decision not to play the match in light of the helicopter crash outside King Power Stadium on Saturday. The thoughts of all of us at Southampton Football Club remain with our colleagues at Leicester, the Srivaddhanaprabha family and everyone affected by the tragic incident. Details of a rearranged date for the fourth-round game, as well as ticketing arrangements, are not available at this stage and will be released in due course." We at the Ugly Inside reiterate the sentiments of Saints and our thoughts are with the family of the family of Leicester City's owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha whom it has been confirmed was on board the helicopter when it crashed and indeed with the families of all of the other people on board. We send our deepest condolences to all that are involved with Leicester City Football Club at this difficult time.
