I know a lot is said about Clattenburg and his preening looks and approach etc but he is a first class referee. Brilliantly handled the match last night. A referee right on top of his game.
We got stronger as the game went on - a true team effort. Our big players stood up and were counted last night.
I think that if we set ourselves up in the right way then we will beat Derby at Wembley.

Just terrific as Arry would say. Once we got going there was great passion and fight-that has not been seen for a long time
Impressed with Nico some great touches that should have been rewarded with a goal. Wonderful and vibrant atmosphere really did raise this occasion to cup final levels!
Even the grumpy old men behind me who disliked Austin-loved this show
A spectucular night where we finally delivered. Now onto the Rams......

A carnival afternoon hosted by Newport County, Dale's last opponents when Newport were relegated from the football league 25 years earlier. Newport had nothing but pride to play for having enjoyed a comfortable return to the football league the previous August. Dale were in carnival mood since securing promotion the previous week and within their grasp, albeit rather optimistically, was the possibility of becoming champions of the division. This relied upon a win for Dale and a defeat for Chesterfield, the current leaders who were playing at home against Fleetwood. The early exchanges seemed promising for THe Dale and the lead was taken midway through the first half shortly after news of Fleetwood beating Chesterfield came through. Elation in the visitors' end at Newport. The mood was somewhat subdued towards the end of the first half as Newport equalised. Late in the second half it looked as if Dale were going to do their bit when they were awarded a penalty. No names will be mentioned but the penalty was saved. Late on the bubble burst when the ball literally bounced off a Newport player's head an foiled the reach of Dale's keeper. That ended the championship possibilities and news came through that Chesterfield had turned round their deficit and beat Fleetwood. In any event that would have denied Dale their ultimate ambition. The Dale fans still applauded their team at the end, recognising a magnificent season that ended with a tinge of sadness but with much elation at their promotion.

Zamora's strike must go down as the most memorable strike in my 44+ years of watching the Rrrr's, moving above Clive Allen's FA cup semi final winner at Highbury.

What an unbelievable moment!

Unbelievable! What a way to return to the EPL. Zamora rose to the occasion and hit the ball true to hit the top corner of the net. There was a moment of silence, disbielf and shock ...and then the eruption of joy and euphoria!!
Band of Brothers as Barton said -I saw it at Wigan and today-fantastic
alsomost 40,00 fans shock the house down
Hats off to Mclaren and the Derby boys for staying and appauling the wiiners-it must have been diffucult.Well done Harry

To actually walk away from Wembley after your team has won,is a new feeling that i have never experienced in my 47 years as a fan,and it was great to share that experience with my neice (the next generation),very emotional and very drunk,i now need a new camera and a new pair of jeans after celebrating the goal.Prior to the game what i was most impressed about rangers fans was there willing ness to get others tickets.
