'No football at Pompey for nine months if club goes'
'No football at Pompey for nine months if club goes'

If Pompey fail to survive past their August 10 deadline, there will be no football in Portsmouth for nine months.

The alternative plan, known as 'Plan B', was looked at by the Pompey Supporters' Trust as a way of keeping football within the city, should the club fall into liquidation.

However, with the Trust's involvement with a bid to save Pompey, there looks to be no contingency plan in place for the short term.

Ashley Brown, chairman of the PST said: “Unfortunately time has been against us with this. Should we go into liquidation, we will not see any football in this area for around nine months.

“The timing could not have been worse for that. We would have had to submit documents to get it approved, but we had to concentrate our efforts on saving the existing club.”
