Saints Back In The Hunt For Brighton Winger Monday, 30th Nov 2015 22:52 At the start of last season Saints were reputably interested in Brighton winger Solly March, but stepped back due to his inexperience, now they are taking another look. Now though March has forced his way into the Brighton team pushing for promotion and he has attracted Saints interest once again. So far this season he has started 11 League games plus another 3 off the bench and has scored 3 League goals including the opener in Saturday's win over Birmingham. Saints wait though will cost them dearly if they can persuade Brighton to sell and March to move along the coast, in the summer of 2014 he would have been cheap given his inexperience, yet now it could cost around £7.5 million. But the Seagulls may feel that with their promotion chances so good that losing March for £7.5 million is not worth the gamble on harming their promotion campaign. March is certainly highly rated also forcing his way into the England U21 set up, one thng that Saints do lack is a true flying winger and perhaps March at 21 could fit that bill, he is a late developer in that he has only just got into the Brighton team on a regular basis, but Saints have been clearly monitoring his progress and could swoop in January.
