2nd Wrexham goal
at 20:35 24 Jan 2026

Ifs, buts and maybes. If Walsh had got a better connection on the punch then the ball doesn't fall to Windass. If MBengue doesn't go charging in like a lunatic when already on a yellow card, then we see out the game comfortably. The ref wasn't the issue today.

I don't think there's any harm in constructive criticism when it's merited. He could've said that for the most part he was pleased with performance but was disappointed with the reaction of the team to the red card.

Give it up, man. The schedule had nothing to do with today's defeat. If MBengue doesn't get sent off, we see out the win, period.

For me, it's a mentality issue. A brain fart from one player resulted in the rest of the team losing composure. As Parkinson said in his post match interview, in the closing stages Wrexham could "smell blood".

2nd Wrexham goal

If there was a shirt pull I don't think it had any bearing on the 2nd Wrexham goal. Walsh misjudged the punch and their lad showed great technique for the goal.

I'm all for picking out positives but blaming the schedule when we've just witnessed our right-back commit yet another brain fart and the rest of the team subsequently sheet their pants is clutching at straws. All teams have 3 game weeks, the schedule is not to blame for today's capitulation.

As we suspected would happen, we paid the price for not putting the game to bed in the first half.

Cue Mbengue doing Mbengue things. To go rushing in once is disappointing. To repeat the same challenge is utter stupidity.

That being said, the team only had to see out 4 minutes of injury time with 10 men. To completely lose your heads and be utterly disorganised displays a serious weakness in mentality that needs to be addressed in the summer.

Dembélé new boo boy?
at 15:55 21 Jan 2026

Therein lies the biggest problem with Dembele - his lack of desire and work-rate, particularly defensively. Fans can forgive the odd mistake but hard work and effort are non-negotiables. It's why Smyth, though not as technically gifted as Dembele, gets more empathy. It's also why Madsen is a man transformed. Last season you could see that he has technical ability but he just wasn't working hard enough. This season he's covering hard yards, snapping into tackles and trying to effect the game. If Dembele wants to turn it around he could do a lot worse than follow Madsen's example.

Whilst your collecting can you check whether we're owed money for Trevor Sinclair?

Crumbs that was a difficult watch. Both games against Oxford this season eminently forgettable. Reaching for positives, another clean sheet and a point on the road.

How was that not a free kick for the foul on Madsen? Oxford almost score from the counter. QPR need to up their intensity.

Hope I'm wrong but that looks ACL territory. Referee very unsympathetic to what looks a serious injury. Shame because he was playing well and dove tailing nicely with Smyth.

I get what you're saying but with all due respect I'm not sure it makes sense. Hoos is merely an employee. He takes direction from the owners therefore I can't see a scenario where the owners were in favour but Hoos rallied against.

In any event, we can speculate until the cows come home. The bottom line is any planned investment is welcome news. In the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day.

Sounds odd given MC is 6ft 1" but I think he's too short to be a top notch keeper.

Barnsley are reportedly plotting a loan move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Owen Goodman. He's 6ft 4".

I'd go with Hamer and Walsh for the remainder of the season.

I'm guessing that the Swansea fans held Joe Allen responsible rather than marvelled at Adel's skill.

You do realise that it's ok to constructively criticise a mistake? That doesn't mean folk are looking for scapegoats or someone to burn at the stake.

Dunne had a great game against West Ham. He made only 2 mistakes both of which were ruthlessly punished.

Nevertheless, I for one am pleased as punch he's still ours and would love a few more like him in our team.
