I always though MG was a decent player who I believe because of the focus on stats by too many managers rather than how the game was being played was allowed to play within himself and with it pedestrian and safe .Look at who's managing him now ,when of Englanda' best midfield player of recent times maybe we're now seeing that reflected in how MG now plays. |

It seems that Coventry's squad has been under the weather recently ,seemingly due to a flu bug so maybe that could influence Lampard's team selection for Boxing Day. |

He wanted Christmas off to spend more time with his kids , more fairy tales will be read I suspect. |

 | Forum Thread | RIP Chris Rea at 17:32 22 Dec 2025
Just heard on the radio news that Chris Rea has passed away at 74 after a short illness. Sad to hear and somewhat ironic that his passing is at this time of the year. Obviously he will be remembered mostly for Driving Home For Christmas but for me on par would be Road To Hell. |

A very strong rumour that Martha Stewart was in the Railway on Friday night , how much of that is true can be debated . I understand that there must be a niche market for Legends merchandise ,I've no problem with it and would probably wear something more discreet ,if someone bought it as a Xmas gift, down with the kids I say. |

That has to be a worry , Politicians' bible are the Polls and it can't be the PM's pay which attracts the likes of Starmer as most at his level are more than wealthy already ,the draw is power & ideology , even as thick skinned as Starmer & co appear to be ,even they know there's absolutely no chance of a second term so will they continue on the same path regardless ,so far it seems so. No one seems to have acknowledged the threat Starmer is creating over Brexit , with a new agreement with Spain & the EU over access to Gibraltar there seems to be no end of them ignoring the democratic will of the people. |

Every time I've watched Moore play regardless who for and against he's always struck me a player who creates issues for most defences but I really can't think of one moment where I thought we got away with one there, Much credit should be given to our defence (including Burgess) and special mention to Cabanago who nullified any threat that Moore posed. We have a great record against Coventry and now Matos has his backroom staff in place with I'm glad to say the additions of Leon & Joe then I'm sure we'll come away with at least a point. |

I'm quite happy in my own skin and have no issues with having the UK's flag flying aloft along side Ddraig Goch . I wonder how they feel when the town has a ceremony celebrating the presence of a Welsh Regiment which has its roots in the town and as such its spiritual home. Awkward. |

I and assume many others couldn't care less if Starmer and his bunch of shysters are in trouble , I'm more concerned that the longer this lot remain in power the more trouble the country will fall into. |

I always thought that a technically superior player in thought and deed would 99% of the time beat a carthouse ,not saying that Coventry are are bunch of carthouses because they're not, Defensively I thought we did very well against Wrexham ,limiting their chances from set pieces to virtually nothing and a ball will always move quicker than most players . There endeth the Sermon of the day. |

I was about to post the same , that must have hurt Considering it seemed that they had sold out their end , based on numbers had to be the quietest bunch down here. A distinct lack of hwyl from them . |

This, I thought Matos was making the wrong substitution by leaving him on but fair play he did keep their left hand side of the defence busy . |

I've calmed down emotionally after last night as would I hope the majority of football supporters but as we know it only takes one to over react .If I was a professional footballer I would hate to think that I'd be remembered not for my ability but because of some acts of violence against my fellow professional or my political leanings then I suppose if he's as rich as everyone assumes he is then I don't suppose he cares. |

Not one to condone acts of uncalled violence but in his case I wouldn't be adverse to see someone break one of his limbs . |
