It’s the fundamental law of revolution. Everything ultimately stays the same. When the English and the French got fed up with the lavish tyranny of the kings and extended family they chopped their heads off hoping for something better, but within a few short years had Cromwell and Napoleon sitting in palaces ruling as kings with their sons as heirs, giving important positions to members of their extended family. Reform will be the same, it’ll be business as usual in Westminster with the same old tired faces in their fancy Savile row suits cocking everything up and lurching from scandal to scandal whilst having their hands in the till. |

The problem is trying to discern who amongst those linked with him were knowing and complicit in his activities. I mean Stephen hawking was a regular visitor to the island but I wouldn’t put him in the bracket of “top shagger” somehow, although you never know. Ditto Michael Jackson, that guy seemed to be as asexual as they come (no pun intended). It’s a dangerous road to go down to assume that anyone linked with him was involved in indulging in the sex trafficking trade but on the other hand when the plane is widely know as “the Lolita express” and the island is known as “orgy island” then how much of a defence do you really have? |
 | Forum Reply | Why has Starmer cancelled elections and blocked Burham at 01:25 27 Jan 2026
There’s been a precedent for the delaying of elections during major periods of turmoil for a long time though (wartime etc) and there was a major global pandemic going on at the time. Still far from ideal but you can understand the reasoning since people weren’t allowed to leave their house. It’s a big difference to what the government are doing now. It just gives the impression they are running scared and want to cling on to power as long as possible. |

Possibly because there was ongoing legal action, Epstein was still alive in prison awaiting trial until 2019, Maxwell was also under investigation as well as others. |

Most of them are living in Crawley. They are taking legal action to try and stop the deal and are campaigning for a referendum so Chagossians can have the final say on what happens. |

Vlad the Impaler would look a more attractive option than Starmer. He has been and will continue to be an absolute catastrophe for both this country and the Labour Party. It will take them decades to recover from him. |

When young people who carry knives in this country are asked why they carry them the answer is almost always “because everyone else does and I need to protect myself”. Then when people who are of that mentality gets involved in a tense situation/altercation with someone else of that mentality it becomes a stab or be stabbed situation for both people and someone inevitably will get stabbed. This is what we’ve been seeing for god knows how long in America but with guns. It always comes down to the second amendment of the constitution. A constitution basically copied almost word for word from a 17th century English/scottish law guaranteeing certain rights following the Glorious Revolution with the stuff about the king and Catholics taken out and a bit of the Magna Carta randomly thrown in because it was trendy at the time. Where the “right to bear arms” referred pretty much exclusively to farming implements, dildos and rolling pins. Hardly anyone had firearms and even those who did would need to take a week and an half off work to reload one after firing it. It’s an anachronism that needs to be corrected in the modern world. Trigger happy cops are a result of them being massively on edge at the prospect of everyone they meet/arrest being potentially armed and able to blast them away in a second. It always comes down to this idiotic right to let anyone and everyone carry guns. |

He’s always been good. He has struggled playing roles that aren’t suited to him and for a long time he was alongside a player who wanted to do exactly the same as him. Still think we look better with Marco in there though. |

Yep which is exactly what I asked in my question. If they’ve been acting the same the whole time then they are now being treated unfairly and used as a political pawn. If the violence has stepped up on a specific instruction from the government then the criticism of Trump is valid. The statistics I have seen suggest the former. But I honestly don’t know the answer though. |

Being in my early forties and relatively good for my age I’m definitely on the cusp of conscription age. In the event of an invasion/occupation I’d happily fight to protect these islands and the people and history on them but I would absolutely refuse to go and get slaughtered off in some far off land. F that. |

Especially in Starmer’s human rights field. You don’t have to persuade a jury you only have to persuade a judge. You have weeks if not months to prepare your statements. You don’t have to think on your feet. It’s a completely different skill set and Starmer simply doesn’t have it. |

Seeing as ICE have been around for a quarter of a century the pertinent question would be have they always been operating in the same way as we are seeing now or are they just getting more negative attention from the anti-Trump media? There is of course the issue of the increased resistance they are facing due to this media storm which will inevitably create a level of confrontation and tension they may not have had before. There are stats online that suggest that there have been years where arrests have been a lot higher than they are now and also deaths involving ICE and custody have been higher. If Trump is a fascist and a Nazi for deploying ICE in the same way as previous presidents then by definition Bush, Obama and Biden must be Nazi fascists too. |

Cullen and Cabango were probably the last two to make it to the first team and they are both in their mid twenties now. We haven’t given youth a look in for a good five or six years. Need to be giving these boys a pathway or they’ll go elsewhere. |

It’s the complete blind devotion and subservience to these various pieces of international “law” that’s largely got us into the mess we are in in the first place. The rules based international order has failed. It’s the countries who haven’t signed up for it or are willingly ignoring it that are winning. |

I thought he looked like he was about to burst into tears. But yes you’re right he has mastered the art of speaking for twenty minutes without actually saying anything. |
