Heās a 22 year old England Under 21 international who will be on relatively low wages compared to a lot of their first team squad so why would they accept anything less than what they paid for him (approx Ā£3m). Wishful thinking that theyāll be glad to offload him for much less.
Donāt think weāll get a better chance to break the 58 year old away Boxing Day hoodoo than tomorrow: hope we keep the momentum going with the same team apart from Cook for JCS.
So your opinion is that Chair is far better than the other four attacking midfielders who seemed to do ok against Leicester. Good for you. My opinion (and others on this thread) is different: hardly āfabricating thingsāā¦ā¦.
Started with three perfect score predictions out of the first four games but have now found my level in 14th. Predicting our first scorer is particularly difficult nowadays but thatās a good thing as there are goals throughout the squad.
He always celebrates our goals properly when heās warming up on the side of the pitch: itās great to see. WLS says we have offered him a new contract and talks are ongoing: really hopes he signs up as heās a great squad member with a fantastic attitude.
Seems barmy to blindly think heās untouchable and must be a certain starter every game when we now have a stronger squad with a number of decent players competing for his positions. Surely ALL players need to compete for their places in the first team: healthy competition and all that.
Iād say heās no longer the first player on the team sheet: behind RND (if fit), Mbengue, Madsen, Burrell and maybe a couple of others. He also missed our good performance against Birmingham as well. Good squad player though.
His predecessors playing one up front at home led to boring games, no goals and hardly any wins: itās great to have a head coach prepared to play two forwards. Not saying any of them were great but I would expect Celar and Dykes wouldāve had much more success if played up front with a half decent partner.
Didnāt hear it from SA Road end of Lower Loft: I have no time for Cifuentes but no need for that happening. Itās been good to hear the SA Road end of Upper Loft starting a lot of chants this season: Last Christmas was excellent š
He was outthought by Julien in all areas today and it was a pleasure to see. How he set them up in that first half considering he knows most of our players was embarrassing: we tore them apart. Not surprised he made no changes until the 63rd minute and his team were still passing it around at the back with no urgency either: weāve all seen it before.
I thought that was an inspired decision from Julien: Cifuentes wouldāve known all about Nardiās weaknesses and may have exploited them. Although based on how the team he picked played and his usual woeful use of substitutions perhaps not.
