Great save in the first half - still looked iffy on crosses just like our other two keepers. But yeah he probably can't do any worse than them so give him a run in the team.
I'm also old and bitter and twisted, I also would just like to win a Cup game for once!
Feels like you had to be in the stadium to enjoy(?) it. I was only able to watch the first half on TV which was dull, West Ham were terrible and definitely felt beatable, and we concede that shit goal right on half time. Then you had Saito going off with yet another hamstring injury, Dembele who boils my piss (yes I know he got the assist), I'd kick him out the club if I could. Of course nearly any other season at full time we'd have got the replay back at LR, although god knows what team we'd field for that one.
I'll still never understand all-ticket games where it's clear the away end won't sell out. Unless it really is just about club finances and staffing costs (not as if Stoke are brassic though...).
Indeed - and West Ham fans will disagree but I always feel like they're an East London version of us; strong community links (well, until the ground move...), tradition of playing attractive football, a boom/bust history.
And as ever with football club owners, be careful what you wish for.
Well if he continues to do well (and hopefully improve us too) then I'd hope he'd be good for a big bucks Prem move in the next few years. Maybe even more than Eze went for? I mean he's already in and around the England U21s too.
