Very happy with the win but seems quite distressed by the level of injuries. I didn't realise Poku came off because he felt something. Shame, because he looks really good.
Kolli has a golden opportunity now if Burrell is out for a while. A lot of his loose play was probably down to lack of senior match minutes but we know he can score goals and is a player. He's 20 remember!
Really unusual way for Burrell to injure his hamstring on a diving header. Let's hope he's okay. Kone relentless work today and Kolli hopefully now an able stand in for Burrell if he's out for a few weeks.
Well done Burrell, first player since Eze in 2019-2020 to reach touch figures.
Well done Rangers. You proved me and a lot of depressed fans wrong today. Kone's link up with Kolli was very good.
Well thank f*ck for that. A professional performance. I for one am very relieved. Anyone know how Burrell is? Hopefully not too much of a hamstring thing???
I really can't see why Hayden gets dropped to the bench again? Seemed like a prime experienced candidate to sit on Bannan. Could very well be a 'will we never learn' moment. We shall see! Worried that Chair is yet again missing. A long list of injuries now and we badly need him.
Bryan Robson played one of the most brilliant midfield games against us at Loftus Road many years ago. My dad and I even clapped a goal he scored against us because it was such a brilliant piece of skill. The bloke behind us almost killed us.
I'm starting to think that a cardboard cut out of Bannan wobbling about in the icy wind on the centre circle could beat us... on its own.
I agree we have to man mark him, even the cardboard cut out. But we've said this every Wednesday game for the last x years and every single time we let him loose and give him free reign. If he assists or scores tomorrow I think we should buy him simply so he can't hurt us anymore.
This has all the makings of another classic 1-2 humiliating defeat. I just hope, for once, that we come out, mark him out the game completely and beat them comfortably. About 14 days ago I would have said this was a 100% win but as the last 3 games have proved, we are more than capable of f*cking up royally here.
Weirdly he's the kind of player that a team like Luton could do with at the moment. He destroyed them last season at their place and they like him. Could be a decent move for him if he does leave.
At my end I was on the end of horrendous abuse from someone online a number of years ago. I offered to meet them to have a face to face chat and if they still felt the same way I'd deck them there and then. Strangely I never heard from them again.
To be fair Frey always plays with his heart on his sleeve. That may be one of the reasons he's been off the pace this season and if he does stay then they should do something surgically to correct that.
The strange thing is that in those first X games he came in, looked sharp, fearless and powerful. He scored goals. Looked like the missing link. Then he didn't score for a few games and appeared to lose confidence and some of that natural instinct. Does he receive the right kind of service. Is he playing in a position that gives him the best chance to at least create scoring opportunities? Not really at the moment.
Is he up to it? Yes, probably. I remember watching Ferdinand when he first started here and I think? he was older than Kone. I remember saying to my dad after half a dozen games, I don't think he's going to make it... But then we seemed to work out how to get the ball to him, where to make him dangerous and he exploded into action. We do need to make him a traditional 9 and make him not just a target man, but also someone that wide players actually find.
I'd actually go and hire Charlie Austin, who loves this club, as a personal coach for Kone (and others) and I think we'd find a much better player in a matter of weeks.
