Not if there's an obligation to buy at the end of the loan. And with what St Etienne are offering, it would be mad not to do the deal now.

I also like Morrison and don't understand why some are negative about him. He's calm on the ball, good positionally and reads the game well. His relatively slight physique is something he can work on. He's still only 22.

For me the only real negative has been his injury record, but that's something that's an issue for plenty of other players in the squad.

Pearman is currently away with the Australian U23 squad at the AFC U23 Asian Cup.

Sutton has just returned from a loan at Morecombe.

Akindileni has not been anywhere. Played in the DS's 1-1 draw with Manchester City U21s on Tuesday afternoon.

Burrell being out is certainly an opportunity for Kolli and Bennie. But, it's also the time for Kone to step up and start scoring again.

I hope he's put firmly in the lead striker's position because he scores when he's central and in the box. Perhaps a formation change back to 4231 will be needed.

I'm pleased but I also wonder where that leaves the likes of Smith, Akindileni and others in the DS.

Cook will leave in the summer so that's a slot. And JCS; well who knows?

Only a single mention of Ben Williams thus far. How much blame should he shoulder for the four players lost in one game. As Danny P highlights, some players have been flogged to death. Others have hardly got going due to ongoing fitness issues.

Just read that the actual attendance last night was closer to 34,000 than the 62,429 announced. Wham fans are increasingly not turning up.
