Hmm. Strange feeling. Not conceding goals . Look well organised etc. But since boxing Day, I’ve been a bit lost on what to say after each league game since . In truth, the performances and the actual quality of both teams in most games right now, are sucking the life and enthusiasm out of me. Read someone say that West Brom are 3 points from the relegation zone . The 3 points that we tossed to them you mean? That Christmas period was a real strange one looking back and we haven’t regained any sort of pattern of play or form . I don’t know . There is no crisis and we have certainly been in much worse form . And even if we were losing games etc, then there is more to life than football blah blah blah. But something just doesn’t feel quite right at the moment and can’t really put my finger on it . More important than any of that waffle is wishing Young Esquerdinha a quick recovery and my best wishes. Looked awful and he looked in distress obviously and understandably devastated. Let’s hope it’s not as bad as it looked. |

With both RND and Cook unable it seems to play 3 games in a week , I think maybe sensible to bring in Esquerdinha tonight and Edwards then comes into the back 4 between Dunne and RnD on Saturday? Saturday seen as a tougher game perhaps ? Or more likely our home games feel like they are treated with more importance. So no doubt we’ll get rolled over tonight . God forbid if Jimmy picks up an injury . |

Welcome, Justin Bigger step up than even Kone or Burrell so we’ll need to be patient . More pace and power is really important though |

Very well balanced report that . Defended well but didn’t ‘do’ any ‘football’ whatsoever . Good point about the kit clash too. Not the first time that the pink and black kit makes watching the game very difficult as it doesn’t look different enough to the home side . Why we didn’t wear what we wore at West Hsm , I don’t know ? |

I could envisage Gary Linekar mouthing “Have a word with him” regarding the poor lad who missed that penalty. He’ll be utterly inconsolable right now |

Yes. Absolutely. He does have a tendency to rub his team mates up the wrong way so I’m told, including Ilias. |

What a goal . But let me tell you , Mbengue will be insufferable in the morning . 🤣🤣 |

Scenes . Disgraceful scenes . But scenes nonetheless. The disallowed goal is about the worst decision I’ve seen in a while |

If you’re the Oxford manager then we are all rubbing our hands together 😆 |

Is it me, but is this really necessary of a feature film? Looking forward to Bryan Cranston as Kevin Keegan in “I’d luv it if we beat them, luv it” |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke fans on QPR (whose side are you on?) at 12:15 18 Jan 2026
Yeah…I agree for the most part that we were pretty horrific on the eye yesterday. When Walsh sat down I said to the family around me that this crap has to stop be it a QPR keeper or otherwise . It’s a loophole the authorities have to close in the summer before we all tear our hair out . We stank the place out and have done away from home for a while now in the league . That worries me , more than the antics yesterday . But….i have to say, any sh*thousing against any corporation Ben Pearson is involved in I can overlook , in an admittedly short sighted blinkered kind of way. He and his Preston mob were responsible for me turning my back on going to football for 18 months or so . I wasn’t wasting my time and money watching a sport that has turned into ‘that’. So he alone deserves a bit of his own medicine. And secondly , Stoke moaning about that stuff is laughable in itself and I’m not sure I will take too much notice of a bunch of 12 year old Stoke fans anyway …and surprised you have too. We wrung the neck out the game to the point that they didn’t want 10 mins of injury time either and they threw the towel in. Small, ugly victory I suppose. But I agree, I don’t want to see that too often . Unfortunately, we are starting too . [Post edited 18 Jan 12:22]

Also thought he let Cisse off a second yellow with that foul from behind in Madsen |

His booking today was ridiculous from the referee |

Agree 100%. Been saying it for weeks even before all the injuries against Sheffield Wednesday . |

A point is a point and I’d have taken it at 3pm for sure. But our away form / set up is a little concerning right now. We dug in and defended well as a unit …but you are going to need to when you play as bad as that . Our ball retention was as bad today as it was under Ainsworth. If you can’t string 3 passes together then all you are doing is heaping pressure on the defence . Jimmy and Cook were tremendous today . And they needed to be. Felt a little for Kolli and Kone. They weren’t great by any stretch but feeding on scraps is an understatement. Sinton in commentary around the 49 minute mark kind’ve sighed and uttered “the boys have to keep the ball better”. It sounded like he had his head in his hands . 😀 Our wide players are a real issue . They didn’t create anything , they can’t pass to a team mate and they just can’t protect the ball under any circumstance. Infuriating. Time for ‘recruitment’ to think about signing wide men that don’t have the physical presence of a 12 year old. Look at a lot of the other wide players in this league . Big, strong, quick, physical, can dribble , pass..move . It’s basics . We have 3 or 4 who simply get bullied or marked out of the game . Once again Ilias is simply worth his weight in gold and not included in that previous sentence. On a positive side , as I said we defended very well, Walsh looked confident and comfortable. And I’ve been critical of how unfit we look, but Stoke , whether they just gave up by the end or run out of ideas or steam ..they looked done in injury time and we actually started to create and find space. We finished the stronger for sure and that’s a positive . A little word for Madsen. By no means anything special but simply has the ability to make a 10 yard pass regularly. Like rocking horse sh*t with this lot . A good point and clean sheet and agree we would have lost this one previously. But before we get too excited , we have done at Derby, Norwich, West Brom this season where we have been abject recently . Rode our luck at Portsmouth too. Just read that someone would rather watch that today than a 4-0 home win!? Each to their own . Not for me. [Post edited 17 Jan 23:55]
