In honour of Barry Bannan who may well be exhibiting his last ever masterclass at Loftus Road tomorrow before his legs and/or hair gives up, what other players did you always look at with a sly fondness?
I always liked Mick Harford in his pomp, gave Alan McDonald some of his toughest tests. Would have loved him playing for us.
Ryan Woods the ginger centre midfielder at Brentford when they were getting good was another one [Post edited 4 Jan 1:32]

It is a good point though - they are hardly any ex QPR players doing well or holding down a decent career
Eze doing well. That’s about it
A few exes knocking around the same level (Manning, BOS, Dykes, Armstrong, Robinson, Lowe)

One of those players you see and think they’re going to go far - he looked a cut above
Ironically remember seeing Emile Heskey come on for Leicester at 16/17 and looked quality straight off the bat |

We’re really seeing hidden depths of revenge and dark thoughts from Madsen re Marti this week - wonder what went on there?
No doubt he’s making him eat his words - the rehabilitation of Madsen is my favourite thing about this season so far. Not only his quick passing and calm on the ball but he put in some great blocks and tackles all game and looked tough using his whole frame. 12 months ago that was nowhere to be seen |

Always remember this one Ted - at one point Adel did the old “flick it over your own head” trick and about three Reading players were chasing him around to murder him.
We all got back to the Crown after and were sitting around in a daze going “we’re going up here, aren’t we?”

Got to look at the bus stop down the road - they must have been in the Championship for 5/6 years and kept their nerve with their strategy, they didn’t go wild at the first sign of top six and blow all their cash.
It meant a lot of moaning from their fans at the time (a lot of my old mates, not the wax jacket Chiswick and Richmond Dads that head there now) but it paid off as they went up with a battle hardened team they’d built over five years and then in their first two seasons in the Prem they pretty much kept that same team and did well
No point in lucking into a promotion and then getting dicked and wasting your money (fk me we would know this more than anyone).
Take your time, enjoy it, and go up with a team that you know are good |

First ever FA Cup away draw I’ve been interested in going to for years. New ground (if you don’t count watching the Olympics there), easy journey on the overland or whatever it’s called now and I’ve always liked our games with West Ham |
