I think we have messed up with the undersoil heating (wrong temperature or left on for too long) and it has killed the real grass on the pitch. Probably a human error.
Top notch report Clive and thank you for all your efforts over the busy Christmas schedule keeping us fully entertained with your articles.
I said to my brother 30 seconds before Kolli scored his first "I was expecting a bit more from Rayan today with this opportunity" - A real commentators curse.
However I was delighted for him and weren't they great finishes. Hopefully he can stay fit now and really grab the opportunity that lies ahead for him. Maybe move Kone to the nine and have Rayan playing off of him.
Anyway at least we salvaged something from the Christmas disaster. I told the kids on the way home don't be too disappointed we are making progress as we are no longer looking over our shoulder at the Portsmouth and Oxford results and for now continue to look up the table.
I had the mother of all hangovers and thought don't worry the boys down the bush will sort it out for you..........I came home and sat in a dark room with a cold flannel on my head.
January is a always a dreadful month to get through and it does bring some mental health issues but I guess we all just have to dig deep grit our teeth and get through to February when the lighter evenings slowly start to remove the fog from the brain.
A QPR cup run would also give us a big shot in the arm......
Thanks Clive - Great analysis on a very messy performance. Happy to give JS credit when he does well but needs to up his game on tactics and formations away from home.
Two big winnable home games now to get back on track.
Thank you Clive - Great summary and a very valuable point away from home.
To be honest I would of been happy with a point before the game and am even more happy with the point after the performance.
I do think we need to tweak the starting eleven and our shape when playing away. We have the best squad we have had in years and some minor adjustments I think would really help the players.
Anyway overall I am absolutely delighted where we are at the halfway point. No reason why we can't have a good back nine and then who knows.......Maybe she will be wearing a blue and white ribbon in the merry month of May.
Oh and the John Sitton quotes brought a cheeky smile this morning.
Thank you Clive - Merry Christmas to you and yours - Your fantastic writing brings so much joy and fun to our family even in the tough times. Whisper it very quietly but I think better days are ahead.
Merry Christmas to all the other retired cab drivers on here too......If you know you know.......
Top report on a great afternoon at HQ. My liver and kidneys took a right hiding Saturday.
There were a few groans in the pub beforehand when we saw Dembele starting ahead of Smyth but as you say that's the best game thus far from Dembele both with and without the ball so what do we know.....Boys were bang up for this one.
Can we now go to Portsmouth and get something which will be a completely different game as the hunter becomes the hunted.
Really nice message in the middle of that Clive - We are a family and will always be there for each other. Life sucks sometimes but the R’rs have always been the one consistent in my life.
And yes I am so sorry for giving Andy Sinton so much abuse when he returned with Sheff Wed. I have apologised to him many times.
I think he deserves a warm welcome - Performed a miracle keeping us up in the first year. Slightly disappointing second year but he didn't have the squad we now have.
Love these young lads footage reminds me of me and my mates in the mid / late eighties and they are wearing the same clobber although now it is classed as retro.
