Town boss Paul Jewell has revealed that he will meet with a prospective signing in the morning. The Blues manager is at today’s Marina Dalglish Appeal Golf Day at Royal Lytham back in his native North-West.
Jewell was one of a number of Championship bosses at the event all in a similar position: "We’re all having a game of golf today and when we get off the golf course there will be 20 missed calls as we’re all trying to do deals.
"Straight after this I’m driving down to Ipswich to meet a player in the morning, so it never stops.
"We’re all looking for players, probably all looking for the same players, to be honest. A manager’s job never stops just because the football stops.”
