"I'll have a pair of crotchless knickers...a rampant Rabbit and a Max Gradel please..."

Leeds reject £2.5m from West Ham for Max Gradel.

Although it is near impossible to see where Elland Road's favourite Ivorian would fit into a Sam Allardyce side, West Ham have had a £2.5m bid knocked back for Max Gradel.

The YEP report that the Upton Park side were hoping to use Gradel's contract situation to their advantage, last season's 18 goal hero has just 12 months left on his deal and the YEP's sources in London believe if the porn peddlers Gold and Sullivan up the ante by a mere £500,000 Leeds would not be able to resist cashing in on a player who cost just £200,00 18 months ago.

Simon Grayson has said he expects Gradel and another highly-rated transfer target Robert Snodgrass still to be United players when we start the season at Southampton three weeks next Saturday. Snodgrass scored in last nights 2-0 win over Falkirk where no doubt scouts were amongst the crowd of around 2500.

However with this summer being definitely one of discontent due to lack of incoming transfers and high profile departees such as Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny sadly we Leeds fans do not share Larry's optimism.
