TVOS gives us his usual lowdown on the referee in our next game, a Mr Simon Hooper from Wiltshire.
For the fourth time in four league meetings between Dale and Dagenham, a referee in his first season on the league list will be the man in the middle.
Last season Dave Foster and Roger East officiated the two league meetings, while earlier this term David Webb oversaw the Daggers’ 2-0 win at Spotland.
On Saturday, Wiltshire’s Simon Hooper will take charge of his 16th game of the campaign and his first involving either Dale or Dagenham.
He began with Exeter v Shrewsbury on 16th August and progressed to his first Championship match last weekend when he refereed Norwich v Barnsley.
His 15 games so far have produced 35 yellow cards and four red, including two at Chester v Morecambe in November.
Internet research provides very little information on Simon, so let’s hope he retains a similar low profile on Saturday.
