Trust week - Day 2

On Day 2 of Trust week on RochdaleAFC.com, we take a look at the many benefits of becoming a member for the 2009/2010 season.

Joining the Dale Trust is not just a token gesture and this your £5 membership fee brings you more benefits than ever before.

Today's Trust Week article shows you that you get more than just a membership card for your fiver.

By joining the Trust not only are you able to engage directly with the club through the Trust board, you also get discounted entry to our events, discounts at Friends of the Trust outlets, and automatic entry into draws for our exclusive matchday packages.

Not only are the club's board of directors happy to work with the Trust, the club also actively seeks out the Trust's support with certain issues. This was certainly in evidence last season with the 'Share the Dream' initiative, and came to a head last month when the club's directors approached the Trust to take on the Bowlee training facility project.

And the direct links to the club do not end there. We hold regular meetings with the club's board, where our members can get their questions answered. You can email your questions direct to the Trust or visit one of the Trust desks on home match days. We’ve even got a Facebook group now so younger fans can feel more aligned to what we are all about and the really tech-savvy supporter can follow us on Twitter.

Because we are one of the largest club shareholders outside of the boardroom, membership of the Dale Trust automatically makes you a club shareholder and gives you a voice at the annual shareholders meeting via the Trust directors.

This year Trust members also have more chances to get involved in the club's matchday hospitality than ever before. Through the share the dream initiative we have 18 places available on matchball sponsorship hospitality days this season and we will be holding a draw for those places soon. We will also be holding draws for six exclusive matchday packages, tickets to a league match, and each month we hold a draw for one of our members to present the Player of the Month award.

Trust chairman Ian Bailey said: "The Trust board strives constantly to serve its members in the best way possible, as well as helping the club in any way it can. The biggest benefit of being a Trust member is that it gives you a voice in Rochdale Football Club, so if you want to raise an issue, think you can help us or the club, or want to spend more time with fellow Dale fans, all you have to do is get in touch or come along to any of our events throughout the season."

The Trust regularly updates its website with latest news, as well its Facebook and Twitter pages, and always has an eye on the messageboard on this site. To contact the Trust directly, leave message via any of these outlets or email info@daletrust.org.uk.

Later on this week we will be taking an in-depth look at the Bowlee project and introducing you to our Exiled membership package.
