Bangers Bankers - Like Saints Coming Good As The Season Ends

Let down by Cardiff on a Sunday last week, else I was onto my first ever 3 out of 3!

And of those 3, Cardiff was supposed to be the nailed on bet! Footie, what a silly game it is. So, back to the drawing board this week and back to concentrating on getting that elusive 3/3. In many ways, when we get to this business end of the season it actually gets harder to predict results and so many teams are scrapping for crucial points. So what chance I can break this hoodoo before the season ends?

A quick flick through the list of this weekends fixture and we can see right away some six-pointers, crucial match ups and apparently oh so predictable games. At the wrong end of the table we see rivals Pompey take a trip to Coventry in a game they simply cannot afford to lose. At the right end of the table we see our closest rivals for the title at home to play off chasing Blackpool, a game neither can afford to lose.

And there are many more similar, all of them likely to close to predict unless you are really brave with your bets. No, much better we look to the so called nailed on bankers such as Champions elect at home to Donny. OK, for those superstitious ones among you, it is now officially my fault that we did not win. Fortunately, this will not happen as superstition is utter nonsense, putting it politely.

My first banker really though must be Boro at home to Bristol City, home win. In fact I really hope I am wrong as a City win would surely condemn Portsmouth to League One footie next season, but I am sorry to say I can not see Boro letting this one go. Second banker has to be Saints v Donny. I just cannot see Nigel allowing us to have a complacent off day.

But where will your third and crucial money maker come at? Well again, as much as I do not want it to I think it will come at Turf Moor in the form of an away win for West Ham. In fact I pick these games as the lesser of evils so to speak as when you look through the list you will see so many match ups that are just impossible to call, for example try Derby v Palace. Both of them right on the cusp of a play off fight, but both having to win if that is to be at all realistic.

I can see now for sure why they call betting a mugs game as week in week out I just cannot fathom 3 easy games to call. So there are my three from three and below I have again decided to ask spice to this week’s episode (and believe me it is an episode for me) by shouting all games outcomes as below:

Barnsley V Peterborough - Draw

Burnley V West Ham - Away

Coventry V Portsmouth - Home

Derby V Crystal Palace - Home

Leicester V Hull - Home

Middlesbrough V Bristol City - Home

Millwall V Leeds United - Away

Nottm Forest V Brighton - Draw

Reading V Blackpool - Home

Southampton V Doncaster - Home
