Dale boss Keith Hill has renewed the loan move of Dale Stephens from Oldham Athletic for another month after being impressed during his opening month at Spotland.
Stephens has been limited to just one appearance so far but in doing so grabbed the vital equalising goal at Morecambe in the recent 3-3 draw.
And with Ciaran Toner still facing a lengthy spell on the sideline and Clark Keltie still frozen out, it made perfect sense to renew the deal and have Stephens at the club as back up to midfield duo Gary Jones and Jason Kennedy.
The Bolton born midfielder is available to Oldham on a 24 hour recall if required.
