Name: Luke Beckett Position: Striker Squad No.: 18 Height: 5'11 Weight: 71kg Date of Birth: 25-11-1976 Place of Birth: Sheffield Nationality: English One of the best finishers in the lower leagues, Beckett started his career at Chester where he scored 32 goals in just two seasons. This prompted moves to Chesterfield and the Stockport where he proved to be even more prolific, scoring 27 times in the 2002-03 campaign. He was signed by Sheffield United in the summer of 2004 but he didn't make an impact there and he was loaned out to Oldham. He moved to Huddersfield for £85000 which will prove to be a bargain. Last season he scored 18 times, including a penalty in our draw with Oldham.
