Jackett On Look Out For More

On the day when the name of Pawel Abbott was being linked everywhere with a move to Swansea, Kenny Jackett admitted in the Wales on Sunday that he was still on the look out for new strikers but was confident that Bayo and LT10 could do the business if it came down to it,

Jackett told the paper "I was pleased with Lee and Bayo, I felt that they were the right choice for today in terms of selection. If I had Rory he would have probably played deeper in midfield, so only time will tell if it was the right thing to let him go.

"There is money available so, if I can bring someone in on a permanent move and have to spend some money, then I will.

"Looking at the injury list we have we need to make sure that the short and long term are covered.

"It very much depends on who, as to how much we spend, the age of the player, what he can do for the club - we need value for money. But I am looking at both Lee and Bayo to have big finishes to the season. In the last few weeks Bayo has come on in both his attitude and performances."

Bayo ws also confident in his ability and was keen to strike back up his partnership with Trundle which prospered at the early part of last season

"I have that telepathy with Lee, I enjoy playing with him and I hope we can get Swansea promotion,

"[Manager] Kenny Jackett pulled me aside last week after Rory went, and I'm going to do my best to make sure I don't let the boss down.

"Rory is a good player and a loss to the squad, I wish him all the best."

I'm sure the words are all well and good and mean well but I suspect that there isn't a Swansea fan around who wouldn't like to see at least one striker added to the squad if not by Tuesday but before the transfer window closes
