Player of the Season

Rochdale AFC in conjunction with the Dale Trust will be hosting the club’s Player of the Season evening in the Dale Bar on Saturday 26th April starting at 6-30pm.

This year, we are having the event as a Pay What You Want event, with a suggested minimum payment of £2. All funds from the event will go directly to Grow4Joe — the charity set up by former Dale player Joe Thompson for research into Leukaemia & Lymphoma following his diagnosis late last year.

Supporters will get the chance to mingle with the Dale players who will be in attendance until the end of the Awards’ Ceremony, and there will be a DJ playing afterwards. On the night, supporters will again have the chance to vote for the Goal of the Season, with the shortlisted goals being shown on the various screens throughout the night.

As well as the awards, there’ll be the usual speeches, free programme and a raffle where again all funds will go directly to Grow4Joe. There’ll also be a special Dale poster being given away to those under sixteen to collect autographs on the night from their Dale heroes.

As you would expect given how the season has gone, tickets are expected to go very quickly for this event, and should results go the way we’d like, it could be the night to celebrate with the players themselves.

Tickets will be available from Saturday 5th April. They will be available from the Trust desk before the home games with York, Southend and Cheltenham (subject to availability), and from the club shop and ticket office at all other times. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
