Reports of Toby Alderweireld missing the rest of the season as reported in some media sources appear to be way off the mark according to the man who should know.
Ronald koeman has dismissed reports circulating that Toby Alderweireld won't play again this season following his injury at Stoke City
Speaking ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur Koeman said.
"Toby Alderweireld did his first training session today and if there was not any reaction he will be fit for Saturday.”
Good news for Saints supporters who feared that Alderweireld might never play for the club again.
Hopefully the Belgian defender will not suffer any reaction and will be fit to face a Spurs side who are specialising in scoring late goals.
In other news Filipe Djuricic will again be unavailable however there have been no further injuries so the squad should be pretty much as it was last week with Victor Wanyama serving the last of his suspensions.
