Best ever finish despite Barnsley beating

The final ninety minutes of the season failed to deny Dale the highest ever finishing position as we ended the season in 8th place.

The worst case scenario could have seen us drop down to 9th place which would have equalled the highest ever finish that we've managed on two separate occasions, but with Peterborough only managing a draw at Oldham, we finished in 8th place.
