TK has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until the Summer of 2017.
As the players returned back from their Summer holidays to face the first day of preseason, one player concluded his training with a contract extension. Kennedy, who is in his fourth spell at the club as a player, impressed with his versatility late in the season filling in a number of times in the centre of defence following the departure of Jack O'Connell.
Kennedy is the last of the out of contract players to commit to the club following the new deals taken up by Cannon, Bell, Hasler-Cregg and Hooper. Midfielder Stephen Dawson decided to move on and has signed for Scunthorpe United.
Speaking last week, Dale boss Keith Hill spoke regarding this: "He hasn’t taken up the contract so far. The door is still open for Tom but it comes down to finances. Put it this way, Tom’s not being greedy by any stretch of the imagination and I wouldn’t want anything to go against him and his name."
