Fraser Forster Takes A Big Jump Towards Comeback

Fraser Forster has posted a video of himself on twitter showing that he is coming along nicely towards a return from his knee injury suffered 7 months ago.

Fraser Forster has taken a big jump (literally) towards his return to action with a video of him doing jump training in the gymnasium, which hopefully means he is at an advanced stage towards his comeback and that everything is back on track.

But he will still have a long way to go before he is ready for first team action as he will not only need to regain match fitness, but also his sharpness and reflexes etc.

With goalkeepers it is not just as easy as it was with Ryan Bertrand as an outfield player where they can gain their fitness and confidence playing games, keepers have to work on other areas including reflexes, decision making and most importantly confidence.

Over the next month or two Saints will be working hard with Forster on all of these and more building up to a first team return.

Forster himself will be hoping that is sooner than later as not only does h need o ours Marten Steklenburg from the number 1 spot, but he will be looking to regain his place in the England squad for the Euro's next summer and with Joe Hart in fine form along with the emergence of Jack Butland at Stoke, that will not be a simple task.

But the video shows Forster in good shape and good spirits and hopefully he will continue his progress.
