Refwatch: Sheff United v Dale

Dale’s first away game of the season at Sheffield United will be refereed by Somerset official Kevin Johnson.

Mr Johnson is in his third season on the league list and on Saturday will referee Dale for the first time in league action.

However, he was the man in the middle for our FA Cup tie at Northampton in November 2014 when Dale ground out a 0-0 draw despite playing most of the game with ten men after Ian Henderson’s early red card.

Kevin has refereed 59 matches since his promotion to the league list, the majority of them in League One and League Two, although last term he received four Championship appointments.

He started this season in charge of Stevenage v Crewe last weekend and Exeter v Brentford in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
