Refwatch: Wimbledon v Dale

Dale will meet a new referee on Tuesday when Brett Huxtable takes charge of their League One fixture at AFC Wimbledon.

The Devon official is in his first season on the referees’ list and while he has 33 games under his belt this term, this is his first involving Dale.

However, Brett has already refereed AFC Wimbledon twice, the first being their 1-0 win at Peterborough in October, with the second their 2-0 loss at Bristol Rovers on New Year’s Eve.

He began the campaign with Doncaster v Crawley in August, but has mainly refereed games in the south since then, save for a couple of other trips to Yorkshire.

Last Saturday, Brett was in the middle for Newport v Blackpool and his 33 matches this season have seen 119 yellow cards and two red.
