Midfielder Matty Lund has took advantage of his out of contract status by moving to Championship club Burton Albion.
It was a departure that was expected for the popular Northern Ireland midfielder, but will still come as a blow to Dale supporters who had been hoping that he might have signed the deal that was offered to him.
In signing for Nigel Clough's Burton Albion, he will leave the Crown Oil Arena after four years in which he played a pivotal part of our promotion side in 2014, and establishing ourselves as regulars in the top half of League One.
Lund has played 130 times for Dale chalking up 22 goals during that time.
