Dale have splashed the cash in signing Barrow winger Jordan WIlliams.
In what has seemingly come out of the blue, Dale have signed 24 year old winger Jordan Williams from Barrow AFC. The winger has spent his career in non league but was considered one of the best players in the National League last season.
From reading the various sources on the web, there are suggestions that the fee could be as much as £100,000, with reports that we have fought off interest from Lincoln City, Bristol Rovers and Fleetwod in acquiring his services. Of course, the fee is down as "undisclosed".
The Barrow website suggested that it was footballing reasons why Williams opted for us as opposed to the other interested sides: Rochdale seemed to fit what the player was looking for in terms of status and style of play, and the agreement was finalised on Tuesday, with the chance to play at this higher level proving too good to turn down.
