TVOS: Dale v Accrington

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme — The Voice of Spotland — is back for Saturday’s League One fixture against Accrington Stanley.

This special programme — the biggest the club has ever produced for a league fixture - has been increased to 84 pages for this issue, with eight extra pages devoted to Dale’s thrilling evening at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

And despite the extra pages, the cost of the programme has been held at £3.00.

The programme starts with a front cover image of midfielder Jimmy Ryan, who made 149 appearances for Saturday’s opponents earlier in his career.

Manager Brian Barry-Murphy previews the game with plenty of kind words for Stanley boss John Coleman, as well as giving his thoughts on introducing young players into the first team squad.

After that the programme is packed with new features, including:

MY TEAM-MATES — Fabio Tavares reveals all about his pals in the Dale squad

THINK OF A NUMBER — looking at facts, figures and connections between Dale and Accrington Stanley

COLOURFUL MEMORIES — recalling three previous games against Stanley from the perspective of the kits worn

ROOM 101 — Calvin Andrew reveals the things that annoy him

BACK OF THE NET — a whole-season article focusing on the exploits of Dale’s top 25 goalscorers of all-time, this time with Adam Le Fondre

We have a lengthy new-look visitors’ section, as well as a Traveller’s Tales on the trip to Peterborough.

Our regular historical pages — ‘On This Day’ and ‘Through The Years’ — will help readers to jog their Dale memory banks, while regular contributors Scrutator, Brian Quigley, Steven Rittey and John Rowe are back with their thought-provoking and informative columns.

Meanwhile, action photos appear from the games against Southend and Peterborough.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
