The Dale War Cry

Saturday will see the biggest crowd of the season so far, with Dale expectations rising and a large support coming over the hills coming over for the War of the Rose clash.

Following the Chairman’s rallying cry on the official site, Rochdaleafc.com is joining the drive to extra fans into Spotland this weekend.

We don’t want to sound all bury like in our approach to this but with a game such as the one we have this weekend against Bradford, it is an ideal opportunity to invite a mate or a next door neighbour who may have fallen out of love with Dale over the last few season’s.

Without wanting to tweak the nipples of our oh so friendly Footballing Gods, Dale are now showing the form and putting on the performances that we saw in the second half of last season and deserve more backing from the town.

So get on the blower, ask at the pub…. ring up that mate who ‘only goes when it’s a big game’, and get the buggers into the ground on Saturday!

We, the existing supporters need to bang the drum….

as we bang it the loudest!

Hill has created something pretty special (those who went to Chesterfield will vouch for that), and although some fans always harp on that we always play badly in big games, we need to dispel that myth.

Remember Fulham and the Townson goal, so near … bloody Rufus Brevett

Remember Hartlepool last season, and pissing on their chips

Remember Coventry and the FA cup

Remember outclassing Stoke and Norwich earlier in the season!

It’s a myth, and we the fans can be part of the reason that increase the gates rise…

Man, woman or child, even Auntie Mavis who knitted that woollen blue and white scarf for you three Christmas’s ago… even if she is dead…… bring her along. Dale need and deserve more support, from what could be one of those seasons to remember. And maybe, just maybe that person could get back into the habit of coming every week and the love affair might just be back on

Do you bit by bringing someone along!
