We take our usual look at the official in charge of our game, by looking at Stockport based official Scott Mathieson.
Scott Mathieson is one of the smallest referees in the Football League, but certainly one of the longest serving.
He joined the list in 1994, meaning he is now in his 14th season at this level.
Mr Mathieson has never looked like making any progress up the ladder and this season has actually refereed an unprecedented eight matches at Championship level.
These include the Boxing Day game between Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday when he humorously allowed Wednesday to take a penalty, even though the pyjama-wearing Clarets goalkeeper Kiraly had his back to the taker. Superb!
Most recently Scott was the referee for Leeds home game against Tranmere when Gary McAllister took charge of the Elland Road club for the first time.
Mr Mathieson’s last Dale game was in November 2006 when goals from Dagnall and Doolan gave us a 2-0 home win over Mansfield.
In total he has been in charge of 14 of our matches down the years, with mixed results:
