After weeks of speculation, Jean-Louis Akpro Akpa has signed a contract with Dale, and will fly out to Spain with the rest of the squad on Thursday morning.
JLAA has joined Dale on a free transfer from Grimsby Town, having rejected a contract from the non league side. His contract lasts for two years keeping him at Spotland until the Summer of 2012.
He's been in English football for a couple of years now, and whilst it took him a while to get settled at Grimsby, he attracted plenty of plaudits in the last few weeks of the season for his play, and it's that which has caught the eye of Dale bosses Hill and Flitcroft.
We at RochdaleAFC.com look forward to Jean-Louis's time at Spotland and the multitude of ways his surnames will be spelt over the next two seasons.
