Over the last several games, Burgess's passing has gotten better. I agree with you about getting Galbraith to be that outlet for our two CB's. Galbraith's exactly what Szoboszlai is for Liverpool - the best player on his team who can play right back but is more valuable as a central MF.

If Darling had stayed, then we wouldn't have signed Burgess. Darling had presence, a CB who could carry the ball up the middle of the field. We presently don't have that type of CB.


Darling also had a cracking shot and scored goals in the right end.

Darling was also better at heading the ball than either of our two CB's. Burgess has shown he has a left foot and that he can head the ball into the correct goal as we witnessed in the League Cup game against Forest but nothing since. As I recall, he did come close and rattle the crossbar in one league game. IMO, I think he's gotten better and is not as much a liability as he was earlier in the season.
