Steve Eyres CV 13:41 - Nov 1 with 2648 views

I have to say that SE is a nice guy and I really hope that he can turn things around.

I was in full support of his appointment as I believed (as I think most people did) that he was Head of the Youth System / Academy at City and was primarily responsible for achieving a great deal of success in that role. This coupled with his connections there and support available from his former colleagues appeared to make him a good candidate.

Then I read somewhere on this site that in fact he only looked after the under 11's and appeared to have a fairly junior role. Can anyone shed any light on this? He was clearly highly regarded by a lot of people in the game but the comments on here about his previous roles are true, his appointment (and not to mention a 3 year contract!) appears flawed.
