When Burrell is back, are we starting with him and Kone up top
at 12:21 5 Feb 2026

Thats exactly that. Its been strange in recent seasons, our lack of adaptability to different ways of playing. Usually its been one system throughout for long periods of time.

i do hope we do change things in terms of set up within games and be used as an alternative way of winning games where the system we start a game, is changed and in good time.

Sometimes Stephan makes tactical changes far too late.

Will Kone starting behind Burrell, hinder Kone and likewise if the situation reversed.

Or is it more effective to have a Vale/Chair/Dembele in the ten role with either Kone/Burrell up top and the other on the bench.

It will be quite a big call to make, for sure.

As an avid reader of Shoot and Match from years gone by, I thought good questions to ask young ladies in order to woo them, was to ask them what their favourite colour was. i soon learnt that that was a waste of time !!!

We also need an emojji for Loftus too.....

Nice interview by Mr Hoopsa....

Ronnie is one laid back dude..

No loans in January - Confident in our Squad Depth
at 17:20 4 Feb 2026

Refreshing to see that despite us having six or seven players out injured and a couple only coming back recently, we have chosen to not bring in any players on loan. Basically, we are confident in our squad, which has not been the case in seasons gone by. And we have even loaned out a couple in Morrison and Field from the first team squad.

On occasions in the past, we have used the loan system well, and often brought in players that have done well.Saito and Edwards recently and the troublesome foursome, when Charlie et al came in. But there have been some horrors and some mediocre, Ashby, Yang, Hodge, Sanderson, etc.

Only actually i believe currently we have RND as our sole loanee.

But they quite often used as emergencies to cover where we have no cover. Think the fsct we have not utilised this way of getting players is a massive thumbs up for the recruitment and also the abities of a few of the younger lads stepping up.

You never know what you will get with loanees but we strong enough currently not to even have this as a consideration.

Well done to all involved....

Nice guy John.

Adapted well alongside Jim Davidson on Was it called "Big Break" the snooker quiz show they did.

i remember attending Rothmans Grand Prix at the Hexagon in Reading, and both matches finished very early.

i think John had already been knocked out, so they trotted out Mr Virgo to do an hour or so of his own inimitable trick shot routines. Was more entertaining than the snooker.

RIP John.

Dembele and Obikwu out for Charlton game
at 15:33 3 Feb 2026

Obikwu wasnt injured at the time of signing. Three days and one training session later he picks up a knock.

Said to possibly available for Coventry game, as opposed to the company line now, we have no idea as to when he will be able to join in at training.

Maybe he needs to give training a miss, as we dont want him picking up another injury.

Wouldnt normally believe such things but this is QPR, we are talking about here.

Field to Norwich
at 21:48 2 Feb 2026

Think Sam wanted to play otherwise this deal makes no sense.

Could have also understood it, if we had set a obligation to buy at the end of the season but there is none. Am guessing would have been on reasonable wages but not horrendously high.

Morgan they are clearly expecting to step up and play more - but again Sam's versatility will be missed also.

A very decent servant to the club who perhaps deserved better. As a club we move on, but Sam will be missed.

Loan with a likely permanent move at the end of the season.

Guessing if its £2million for 27/28 year old decent but standard championship midfielder, think that would be the reason for the deal.

I dont want Field to leave but if the above is correct or a similar sell on fee, then perhaps it makes sense.

For me, am sad to see him go and would think we have also seen the last of Sam Field in a Rangers shirt.

Sam Field is off. Norwich in advanced talks according to Sky.

Think this is daft.

Am guessing their is an obligation to buy if he gets a certain number of appearances. Good signing for Norwich.

Agree.

If you fall over, constantly looking for the foul, there will be just as many occasions when you wont get the decision.

However, this one thought was correct. If it had been against ourselves with a player known for taking a tumble, i doubt we would be saying its a stonewall pen.

Not a pen for me.
