Dale wideman Kallum Higginbotham has been recalled from his loan spell at Accrington after spending a couple of months with our Lancastrian neighbours.

The decision to recall Higginbotham might seem a tad unusual given that we already seem to have a surplus of wingers in the current squad, but with a situation on Tuesday which saw Dave Flitcroft forced to be named a one of the subs, the recall can only benefit Dale in this crucial run in period.

Higgy's time at Accrington has been indifferent with just seven appearances for Stanley during his two month stay. His last Dale appearance came back in January where he scored a late goal against Accrington.
