Warnock ready to
Warnock ready to "muck on"
Thursday, 23rd Aug 2012 08:43

Neil Warnock has told the Yorkshire Post he is ready to "muck on" with whatever he has got and assumes no new faces will arrive before the close of the transfer window.

Warnock conceded Blackpool were far the better side following Tuesday nights 2-1 defeat at Bloomfield Road, however if he thinks he can solve the gulf in quality by adding new faces is is far from deluded as he is working on the assumption that there will be no further release of cash.

Leeds have been in negotiations with a middle-eastern consortium since June 26th and despite representatives from the mystery-men being at last Saturdays win over Wolves, the deal looks no nearer to completion. Earlier Warnock wryly remarked that we could still be talking about the deal going through "next March".

The manner of Leeds defeat on Tuesday has clearly deflated the early season optimism prevalent, Leeds having won their opening two fixtures and remaining unbeaten during their pre-season Friendlies.

Yesterday the official Leeds website revealed there were still 1500 tickets available for Saturday's visit to Peterborough, which for an early season away game is concerning.

Current owner Ken Bates has claimed the campaign to vilify him has caused at least two potential investors to walk-away, Leeds fans kept off his back during the Wolves game but I would not surprise the "Bates Out" chants to start up again if there is no positive news come the closure of the transfer window.
