Former players find new clubs
Former players find new clubs

Some of the  players from last season have found themselves new clubs for next season.

Phil Edwards has followed in the footsteps of Nathan Stanton and Marcus Holness by signing for Burton Albion. Edwards was offered a contract by Dale but has rejected it in favour of a two year deal with the Pirelli Stadium club.

As expected, Matty Pearson has signed for FC Halifax Town. He had a successful loan spell at the Shay and was widely tipped to make his switch there a permanent one. He will no doubt be lining up against Dale a week on Saturday when we visit there for a preseason friendly.

Winger Andy Haworth has signed a six month contract with Notts County in perhaps the most surprising of the deals. A fringe player at best during the last few months of the season, he has signed a deal to play in League One next year.

There is no deal yet for Jason Kennedy, though reports in the past 24 hours have suggested that he will be linking up again with Gary Jones at Bradford City.

It had previously been announced that Ashley Grimes has joined Bury, whilst Craig Curran has joined Limerick FC after a successful loan spell.
