Another of last season players have got themselves a new club for the 2018-19 season, with Scott Wiseman signing for Salford City.

Wiseman came back to Spotland in January on a loan deal from Chesterfield, and he played his part in helping Dale avoid relegation making thirteen appearances, six of which were off the bench.

He returned to Chesterfield at the end of the season, but he found himself released following their relegation to the Conference.

In signing for Salford, he will join up with former Daleys Jack Redshaw and Danny Livesey (and former trialist Lois Maynard), and will be coached by former Daley Chris Lucketti who is assistant manager at Salford.
