Ellington and Kourouma in Squad for Sudbury
Town have confirmed that Nathan Ellington, Cheick Kourouma, Arran Lee-Barrett, Jaime Peters, Ronan Murray and Jack Ainsley are in the squad for tonight’s reserves friendly at AFC Sudbury (KO 7.45pm). Also included is 16-year-old Byron Lawrence, while fellow first-year scholar Michael Crowe, a Norwegian who joined the club over the summer from IK Start, travels as sub keeper and may get a run out at some stage.
Despite the lack of first team involvement, manager Paul Jewell says he and his coaching staff will be at the game: "We’ll all be there at the match to watch it and support the players, and AFC Sudbury as well because it’s important that as the main football club in the area we’re seen to support the local football.
"That’s one of the reasons we’ve entered the Suffolk Premier Cup and they’re always good tests.”
