Dawson scores spot kick as Team GB crash out
Craig Dawson scored a successful spot kick for Team GB but once again, penalties proved to be the scourge of the nation, as South Korea went through to the semi finals after the shoot out.
Dawson came off the bench to replace Micah Richards on the hour mark in the game which finished 1-1 after extra time. He was called upon as one of the five penalty takers along with Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey, Man Utd's Ryan Giggs and Tom Cleverley, and Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge.
He had no problems despatching his penalty but ultimately Sturridge's missed spot kick saw the end of the Olympic dream for the young defender.
