Six bidders. Five points. Yep, probably for the first time in its football history, Portsmouth Football Club has more people wanting to buy it than it has league points.
And what a motley crew they are too. If Walt Disney Studio wanted inspiration for the next cartoon character film they need look no further than the array of prospective Portsmouth FC buyers.
First there’s Balram “Dick Dastardly” Chainrai, the world’s most persistent reluctant wannabe football club owner along with his faithful sidekick Levi “Muttley” Kushnir who might have the last laugh after all.
Then there’s Sulaiman “Tweetie Pie” Al Fahim, the Arab Ernest Hemingway wannabe who conducts his business affairs via Twitter and who fucked off on safari days before the bid deadline despite saying he had prepared his bid for months to buy Pompey.
