Goalkeeper Andy Oakes was signed by Kenny Jackett as number two to Willy Gueret. The 29 year old impressed enough on trial to earn himself a one year deal. Oakes has good experience, also playing 27 games in the Premiership with Derby (one game with Bolton).
He played for Walsall last season as they got relegated from League One. The Swans put 8 goals past him in 3 games last season and he also missed a penalty in the shootout at the White Rock. Oakes will be hoping to challenge Gueret for the number one spot this season.
